Chompers

Gee, I love my new teeth. Mama says that she hopes I learn to use them a little better soon. It's just that my mouth is sore and everything gives me an interesting sensation. If you look closely below, you'll see my wonderful new teeth. Mama tricked me into showing them to her.

I won't let her fool me again that easily. I think she's also pretty proud of this outfit they got me. It's pretty cute, I guess. For some reason, she thinks that stripes and dots work well together on me. I thought that was a fashion faux-pas.

Mouth Treasures

I have my first two teeth. Mommy and Daddy have long been anticipating this - I've had a really hard time teething. Finally, last week the first one popped through and then the second one followed this week.

And, no, you can't see them. They are mine. My little treasures. I worked very hard to get them here... I won't even let Mommy and Daddy see them. Mommy says she sure can feel them though.
As you can see, having teeth is really hard work.

.5 Birthday Party

On Sunday Mom and Dad took me up to Inman Chapel and we had my first picnic. Pammaw, Poppie, Gigi, Gandalf and Uncle Luke all came. It was to celebrate my 1/2 a birthday!

It was beautiful and sunny - I love sunny days. Everyone ate a whole lot of food and I got to take a nap under a walnut tree. It was really nice to see everyone - the last time everyone got together was my birth day. As in the day I was born.

Inman Chapel is near Sunburst I'm told. And it has something to do with a book called "Cold Mountain." Apparently I'm related to some of the characters or something. We walked through the graveyard and Mom pointed out all the folks we're related to. The chapel itself is really pretty too.

It was a long day though, because Mom and Gigi took me to church at Lake Logan before the picnic. I liked seeing all the people and hearing the music. I like being outside, too so that was pretty great.

This is Mom and I napping under the walnut tree:

New Faces

I have developed some new faces and ways of expressing myself in the past few days. Everytime I make one of my new faces everyone laughs. I guess I'll keep doing them for a while.

I am now six months and two days old. Time really is flying by. Of course, I really haven't developed a great sense of time yet so I'm only marginally aware of it.

Tomorrow my mom and dad are having a little party for me to celebrate the fact that they've known me for a whole six months. If the weather is nice we're going to have a picnic with my Gigi, Gandolf, Pammaw and Poppie and uncle Luke of course. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Until then, enjoy some cute pictures of me.

Almost Six Months

So, it's been a while. I've been busy. You know, growing in my mom's womb, being born, growing, crying... that sort of thing. But, I figured it was time to start some updates seeing as I'll be six months old in just a few short days.

I'm teething right now, so my favorite things consist of pretty much anything I can put in my mouth. I'll be really happy when those darn teeth finally make their appearance.

Anyway, here's how I look now:

Heck yeah, I just figured out how to use my tongue. It's pretty awesome, no?

Anyway, I've got to go eat and nap but I'll let you know more about what is happening in my world soon.
